VOLUNTEER

We Welcome Volunteers!

Back of a group of volunteers

Volunteers play a vital and valued role at the Conklin Davis Center for the Visually Impaired and are a key element to the success of the Center's emphasis on quality service delivery.

Volunteers are trained to complement the work of the staff, by providing services that enhance the independence and well being of individuals who are blind or visually impaired.

CDCVI now offers virtual Volunteer opportunities.
Here are a few ways you can volunteer your time.

TELEPHONE REASSURANCE – Call home-bound CVI clients to determine their well-being and provide social interactions and relationships.

OUTREACH – Assist Community Development and Rehabilitation staff with outreach opportunities, low vision fairs and health fairs.

CLASSROOM SUPPORT – Assist the classroom teacher in working with children, teenagers and adults.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANCE - Provide clerical support in the way of mailings, filing, answering phones during regular business hours of the Center For The Visually Impaired.

If you are interested in participating in our Volunteer Program, please fill out the online form. You can also download our full volunteer application by clicking here.

Please send completed applications to Alex Wohlrab,
